So what can you do to help or attach your name to this effort? Everyone with ties to United Way should check out
http://www.gregstaffa.com it’s a amazing story about a former homeless guy that is trying to give back. He is about to embark on a 15,000 mile road trip to raise awareness to United Way.
The main focus is Greater Twin Cities United Way. But this trip will bring attention to all of United Way.
This will be a trip that will inspire. He has said he is willing to mention and single out other United Way locations. He has a link that takes people to help find a United Way near them but I also think other United Way locations should consider ways to attach themselves to this cause.
I heard about this and felt inspired that I am trying to do my part to help him.
He is still looking for a corporate sponsor. He figures he can do the trip for $3000. The down side is it’s not a tax deduction because he is not officially part of United Way. But the reason a company should sponsor him is the marketing opportunity. Name exposure mostly. Last year he did a much smaller trip that was covered by a huge number of media outlets all over the USA. This trip is even bigger.
So if your a part of United Way you should consider ways to attach your name to this. Make this trip a even bigger success. Check out
