Event Description

Share wine, hors d’ oeuvres, desserts, conversations and summer breezes at the beautiful Plummer House. Bid on silent auction items. Meet women who are making history right here in Olmsted County.

Come celebrate with the Women’s Leadership Council of the United Way of Olmsted County as we honor and remember the ladies who make a difference in our community with the Maude Finch Award.

The Maude Finch Award, presented by the Women’s Leadership Council of the United Way of Olmsted County, honors a local woman, a business and a local organization each of which have distinguished themselves in advancing the common good in our community through a career of service or achievements.

Maude Finch was the recording secretary of the Rochester Community Chest, who, when paid $20 for her clerical services in 1925, donated those proceeds back to the organization for the common good.

2009 Maude Finch Award honorees
Karel Weigel, Mayo Clinic
Rochester Women Magazine
Rochester Area Habitat for Humanity – Women Build

Meet Dr. Catherine Clinton author of Mrs. Lincoln: A Life and other historical works.

Proceeds raised support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library community initiative.
